Regional Channel Director – South Europe

Manage all channel sales and business development aspects of indirect business in the defined region. Report directly to the VP of Channels for EMEA and lead a team of Partner Business Managers (PBMs) across France, Spain and Italy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish overall Channel GTM strategy and execution plan for the region focused on incremental channel sourced growth.
  • Implement KPIs and cadence for the direct PBM team to ensure role clarity and optimum execution for growth.
  • Lead and coach PBMs to maximize their capability and unlock future growth potential, driving personal development plans to ensure focus and well‑being.
  • Manage key senior stakeholders in the region while reporting to the EMEA channel function, ensuring collaboration with Regional Corporate Vice Presidents and alignment to the sales strategy.
  • Drive toward 30%+ growth by identifying Key Big Bet Partners capable of advancing Commvault’s enterprise solutions to market.
  • Gain agreement with EMEA and sales leaders to execute big‑bet plans.
  • Own executive‑level relationships with key partners and distributors to ensure top‑down execution of agreed plans and KPIs.
  • Maintain operational control and cadence around activity on a monthly basis for successful plan execution.
  • Redefine enablement and outcome‑based sales plays to lead partners to sell based on solving customer problems rather than technology‑centric sales.
  • Focus partners on driving subscription in a reseller motion and support utility sales as Commvault moves toward an as‑a‑service approach.
  • Develop a pipeline that ensures regular and predictable income, exceeding declared financial goals for sustainable growth.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts monthly, quarterly and annually using Salesforce.com.
  • Provide hands‑on coaching through regular reviews, appraisals and joint meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with peers in sales and service organisations to ensure a common approach.
  • Initiate and promote relationships with third parties to broaden market penetration.
  • Stay abreast of new technology to prescribe appropriate remedies for client business requirements.
  • Market the company to enhance brand image in accounts.
  • Lead and inspire staff to achieve maximum potential and deliver predictable revenue and satisfaction.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience at a regional channel leadership level managing partners and distributors in a leading ICT organisation.
  • Proven experience managing teams across France, Spain and Italy.
  • Experience running forecasts and owning numbers across multiple regions as part of a wider sales team.
  • First‑class communication skills in English, both written and oral, for cross‑territory communication.
  • Proven ability to manage partners across multiple countries in a matrix environment.
  • Degree‑level education with significant sales experience in a technology company, preferably within the unified data management market.
  • Key leader in sales within a multinational, multicultural environment with proven sales strategy design and implementation.
  • Consummate people leader capable of inspiring, motivating and leading staff.
  • Ability to translate Commvault offerings into perceived business benefits and solve business issues conceptually.
  • Proactive exploration and development of new opportunities within client accounts via partners.
  • Effective communication at all levels within client organisations.
  • High‑energy individual who thrives on success and persists through problem resolution, understanding ownership principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident presenter.
  • Attention to detail, operating within a quality environment using productivity tools and processes.
  • Demonstrable business, commercial and legal awareness, intellectual vigor and creativity.
