As Regional Channel Director, you will manage all channel sales and business development aspects of indirect business in the defined region. The successful candidate reports directly to the VP of Channels for EMEA and leads a team of Partner Business Managers across multiple countries. The role focuses on building and executing a growth strategy with focused partners to drive incremental growth and profitability of Commvault’s Cyber Resiliency platform – Commvault Cloud Unity.
Position Responsibilities
- Establish overall Channel GTM strategy and execution plan for the defined region focused on incremental channel‑sourced growth.
- Implement KPIs and cadence for direct PBM team to ensure role clarity and optimum execution for growth.
- Lead and coach PBMs to maximize capability and unlock future growth potential; champion personal development plans and work‑life balance.
- Manage key senior stakeholders in the region and collaborate with the EMEA channel function and Regional Corporate Vice Presidents.
- Drive 30%+ growth by identifying key Big Bet Partners committed to commercializing Commvault’s enterprise solutions.
- Secure agreement with EMEA and sales leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders to execute big‑bet plans.
- Own executive‑level relationships with key partners and distributors to ensure top‑down execution of agreed plans and KPIs.
- Maintain operational control and cadence of activity on a monthly basis to ensure successful execution.
- Redefine enablement and outcome‑based sales plays, guiding partners to sell based on customer problem solving rather than technology.
- Focus partners on driving subscription in a resell motion and on future‑facing utility sales as Commvault shifts toward an as‑a‑service approach.
- Develop a pipeline to ensure regular and predictable income that exceeds financial goals for sustainable growth.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts (monthly, quarterly, annual) using Salesforce.com.
- Provide hands‑on coaching through regular reviews, appraisals, and joint meetings.
- Develop strong relationships with peers across sales and service organizations for a common approach.
- Initiate, develop, and promote relationships with third parties to broaden market penetration.
- Stay abreast of new technology to prescribe appropriate remedies for client business requirements.
- Promote the company brand to enhance positive exposure in accounts.
- Lead and inspire staff to achieve maximum potential and deliver predictable revenue, ensuring customer and staff satisfaction.
Position Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience at a Regional Channel leadership level leading partners and distributors in a leading ICT organization.
- Proven ability to run forecasts and own numbers across multiple regions within the wider sales team.
- First‑class written and oral communication skills in English; clear uptake of plans across territories.
- Experience managing partners across multiple countries in a matrix environment.
- Degree‑level education with significant sales experience in a technology company, preferably in unified data management.
- Key leader in multinational, multicultural sales environments; successfully designed and implemented sales strategy.
- Consummate people leader capable of inspiring, motivating, and leading staff.
- Ability to sell conceptually and translate Commvault offerings into perceived business benefits; good knowledge of business issues and solution development.
- Proactive in exploring and developing new opportunities within clients via partners to increase market penetration.
- Experienced at communicating at all levels within client organizations and their own.
- High‑energy individual who thrives on success and persists through problem resolution; understands ownership principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident presenter.
- Strong attention to detail, desire to operate within a quality environment, and proficiency with productivity tools.
- Demonstrable business and commercial/legal awareness, intellectual vigor, and creativity.
