Commitment and Remuneration
Time commitment: The expected time comment is around 25-27 days (possibly up to 30 days).
Remuneration: £550 per day.
Roles available: One.
Overview
We are seeking a new Chair to lead the Police and National Crime Agency Remuneration Review Bodies, responsible for advising the government on police pay and conditions in England and Wales. The Chair will steer the Body during a time of considerable change for policing, ensuring remuneration packages remain attractive and competitive.
Responsibilities
- Chair the Board and guide the review process on police and National Crime Agency pay and conditions.
- Provide independent advice to the government on remuneration matters.
- Lead the Board in recruitment, retention and motivation of an effective NCA and police workforce.
- Facilitate consensus among diverse Board members and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure the Body’s work maintains confidence of police and NCA officers.
Qualifications
- Senior chairing or leadership experience with a proven record in complex organisations.
- Strong analytical ability, communication skills and understanding of policing challenges.
- Evidence of political awareness and ability to guide a diverse Board effectively.
- Experience in achieving consensus while maintaining respect for differing viewpoints.
Appointment Details
Appointment will be for a minimum of three years.
