CFO France
Overview The CFO France is the senior Finance leader for the France market unit, accountable for partnering with the GM and leadership team to deliver sustainable profitable growth, strong financial performance, rigorous control, and a future‑fit Finance organization. The role integrates strategy, planning, performance management, business partnering, governance, across all categories and key functions and finance digital transformation in France.
Purpose of the role:
Drive topline growth, profitability, and cash delivery across all categories in France through fact‑based decision support and disciplined performance management.
Ensure the sustainability of the business model through strong financial control, risk evaluation, compliance, and stewardship in partnership with the Controller.
Provide transparency on current performance, risks and opportunities, and short‑and‑long‑term outlooks, while leading high‑quality communication with the West Europe organization.
Act as a trusted thought partner to the France GM and a core member of the France Leadership Team on strategic, commercial, and operational decisions.
Lead the Finance digitalization agenda and embed more efficient, insight‑led, and scalable ways of working.
Build and lead a high‑performing Finance team across FP&A/Marketing Finance, Sales Finance, and Supply Chain Finance in strong cooperation with Global Capability Center (GCC).
Responsibilities Deliver the plan
Proactively look for growth opportunities in liaison with the GM and representatives of all commercial functions
Own development of and drive trade‑off choices in the MU AOP P&L
Discuss and align targets with WE CFO to ensure necessary trade‑offs between categories
Drive P&L performance to meet targets: volume, net revenue, marginal contribution, and NOPBT margin
Effectively monitor & escalates issues around R&O profile and performance against targets set for MU
Propose, together with the MU GM, corrective actions to meet MU targets
Support IBP and monthly forecasts processes for France
Performance management
Be a thought partner for the France GM on overall business strategy and financial management
Manage the full P&L performance tracking process for all categories
Drive insightful benchmarking, diagnostics, and candid discussions on current performance and future outlook
Support the innovation agenda, category finance analysis and act as business partner to Marketing teams
Lead the SG&A/Opex agenda for the MU
Lead the financial IBP process for MU, including ownership of financial PBR presentations to WE OU LT
Drive profitability improvement workstreams, the holistic cost management agenda, and net zero inflation in the MU
Ensure proper coordination with other functions to enable synergies and process efficiency (e.g. WE FP&A, GCC)
Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing between WE MUs
Control
Ensure control processes and requirements are met in line with Corporate standards and policies
Manage the financial system environment, system integrity, and drive continuous process improvements
Partner with the commercial team and controller to drive cash flow planning and delivery
Act on corporate audit learnings and drive process/system improvements to meet needs
Develop talent
Lead and guide direct reports
Provide coaching and development to build current and future capability in the Finance team.
Help educate other functions in financial literacy
Manage explicit and tacit knowledge within team to ensure effective capture and smooth transfer in the event of talent movements
Digitalisation & GCC
Drive Finance digital ways of working across the France organization, e.g., Cockpit self‑serve, Mosaic adoption, and AI forecasting
Drive GCC adoption for the Finance MU and embed the new ways of working with GCC teams
Qualifications
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
10+ years of progressive experience across Finance roles
Strong experience in planning, forecasting, and performance management processes
Demonstrated team leadership experience with a proven track record of talent development
Strong track record of delivering business and P&L outcomes through Finance leadership roles
Effective communication, influencing, and coaching skills
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate financial insight into business action
Fluent English; French strongly beneficial for market leadership effectiveness
Ability to set a clear agenda, prioritize effectively, and drive execution through others
Advanced business partnering and influencing skills
Strong strategic judgment with the ability to connect broader objectives to the right business decisions
Experience leading process, system, or operating model transformation
Credibility and confidence in working with senior stakeholders across functions and levels
Ability to lead across cultures, functions, and matrix environments
