CFO - Exit & Restructuring Advisor (Bilingual French/English)

Location: France (HQ-based with travel as required)

Duration: Initial 6 Month Mandate

We are partnering with a private equity backed industrial organisation undertaking a significant transformation programme while preparing for a potential ownership transition. As part of this critical phase, the business is seeking an experienced Interim Exit & Restructuring Advisor to work directly with the CEO, CFO and shareholders to support both exit readiness and operational performance improvement.

This high profile assignment offers a unique opportunity to influence strategic decision making at board level, helping shape the future direction of the business while ensuring a disciplined and well executed transaction process.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and CFO to develop and execute the overall exit readiness strategy.
• Serve as a key interface between management, shareholders, lenders, advisers and prospective investors.
• Lead and coordinate financial, operational and commercial workstreams supporting a potential sale, refinancing or recapitalisation.
• Strengthen the investment case, value creation narrative and overall equity story.
• Support restructuring initiatives focused on profitability improvement, cash generation and operational optimisation.
• Oversee the development of due diligence materials, management presentations and data room readiness.
• Ensure robust forecasting, liquidity management and performance reporting throughout the process.
• Provide independent strategic advice to senior leadership on transaction execution and stakeholder management.
• Support negotiations with lenders, advisers and investors where required.

Candidate Profile

• We are interested in speaking with experienced leaders who have operated within private equity environments and successfully navigated complex transformation or transaction situations.

Ideal background

• CFO, Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO), Transformation Director, Operating Partner, Senior Transaction or Turnaround Executive
• A proven track record supporting exits, refinancing, recapitalisation or strategic ownership transitions.
• Experience operating within distressed, underperforming or restructuring environments.
• Strong expertise in cash management, liquidity optimisation and lender relations.
• The ability to engage confidently with boards, investors and executive leadership teams.
• A pragmatic, hands on approach combined with strong strategic judgement.
• Fluency in both French and English.
