Located in Burgundy (Le Creusot), the Technical Center is part of the “Technical and Engineering Division” Business Unit. It plays a key role between R&D and industrial applications. Its expert teams carry out tests and analyses in support of FRAMATOME Engineering or external stakeholders in the sector, in France and abroad. This work has, for example, contributed to the design of so-called “second-generation” reactors currently operating in the nuclear fleet, and later to Generation III+ reactors such as the new EPR reactors.
Alongside its experimental activities, the Technical Center is currently creating a team dedicated to CFD studies and calculations applied to nuclear and non-nuclear fields. To support this initiative, it is seeking a CFD Thermal-Hydraulic Studies Engineer.
You will be responsible for studies and calculations in the fields of thermofluid mechanics applied to nuclear and non-nuclear installations.
In this context, your main duties will include:
- contribute to the construction of commercial offers
- establishing the analysis methodology,
- defining the models to be implemented,
- collecting the input data required for modelling by discussing with the clients,
- carrying out the required calculations using the available and qualified calculation software,
- producing and analysing results, and preparing the engineering documents corresponding to the studies performed,
- improving working methods, capitalising on and sharing feedback, identifying work programmes, and preparing technical and financial proposals.
