Job description
This role is two-fold, You will have the opportunity to contribute across all the organization,
- As the founders' right hand, supporting them on strategic and business development topics
- As a cross-functional Swiss Army knife, working closely with the sales, marketing, and consulting teams, from operational execution to more macro and strategic topics
Founders’ right hand
You will work closely with Corinne and Christian, Carbometrix's two co-founders, on various projects at the heart of the company's development. Projects will depend on priorities, market dynamics and may include and not limited too
- Monitoring strategic accounts and market news (fundraisings, sustainability commitments, regulatory developments...) and taking part in strategic meetings with Corinne and Christian to assess target accounts and unlock new business opportunities.
- Conducting market studies, exploring new markets where Carbometrix could grow its offering, analyzing market players from a growth perspective.
- Supporting the co-founders on more operational topics, such as preparing responses to tenders and RFPs, or crunching data to inform strategic decisions.
Cross-functional projects and business development
You will also work closely with the sales, marketing, product, and consulting teams on a wide variety of missions, from operational execution to strategic analysis. For instance, you may:
- Maintain and improve sales materials (credentials decks, case studies...)
- Maintain and optimize our CRM (Hubspot)
- Run data analyses on sales metrics to optimize value creation, and help streamline the sales process, mainly by optimizing our CRM
- Support the marketing team on outreach campaigns ahead of major industry events, from prospect qualification to marketing materials
- Work hand in hand with consultants on operational tasks, launching new products, understanding their workflows to help optimize them
Your responsibilities will evolve with market dynamics and Carbometrix’s priorities.
Preferred experience and profile
- You are a native French speaker and you have an excellent level of English (read, written, spoken).
- You have a higher education degree, from a top-tier engineering or business school.
- You are very motivated to work on sustainability topics and interested to learn more about private markets dynamics and their decarbonization strategies.
- You have solid data analysis skills, comfortable manipulating data (Excel, CRM...) and turning it into actionable insights.
- You are rigorous, analytical, proactive, and autonomous, you take ownership quickly, learn fast, and welcome feedback.
- A previous experience in a startup and/or in business development is not a must have but will be appreciated.
