Rattaché(e) au Supplier Quality Expert Manager France, nous recherchons un(e) Supplier Quality Engineer Expert spécialisé(e) dans les procédés spéciaux du secteur de l’énergie, les moteurs avancés, les technologies de conversion et de systèmes de contrôle, afin de sécuriser la fabrication dans l’industrie lourde dans les domaines de l’usinage, du soudage, des contrôles non destructifs, de la fonderie, du forgeage, de l’anticorrosion et de l’électronique de puissance (H/F) au sein de notre supply chain.

La mission principale du/de la Supplier Quality Engineer sera de réaliser les activités de sélection/qualification des fournisseurs, de conduire les audits techniques relatifs aux « procédés spéciaux », de piloter les qualifications produit et l’amélioration continue des procédés de fabrication des fournisseurs Power Conversion & Storage, afin d’améliorer la performance globale de notre panel mondial de fournisseurs. Il s’agit d’un poste critique au sein de notre organisation pour soutenir la performance en matière de qualité, de respect des délais et de compétitivité de l’activité GE PCS SEMEA.

Your Responsibilities (EN)

Supplier On Boarding

  • Support Supplier on Boarding Process, Supplier selection and approval in cooperation with Sourcing, performing technical assessment of special process described above, and evaluating supplier capacity and capability (engineering, manufacturing, staff, EHS, …)
  • Assess suppliers’ QMS and manufacturing process compliance through relevant and deep process audits.
  • Record and track action plans and manage supplier approvals in the supplier database.
  • SWOT analysis to prepare the FPQ process with an adapt Qualification Plan and ITP.

Implement the First Product Qualification Process

  • Lead and execute first piece qualification programs with suppliers as an expert during design reviews, MPP review, manufacturing toll gates, and functional tests (if applicable) and Final Acceptance Test.
  • Manage supplier product qualification plans, in line with business needs and the product.
  • Approve the Qualification Plan, MPP, ITP.
  • Ensure that suppliers have the design, manufacturing and control processes in place to deliver products that meet GE Power Conversion & Storage requirements.
  • Train and support suppliers on the company’s processes and tools, and ensure their application.
  • Ensure the monitoring and control of the steps leading to the qualification of suppliers’ products and be the supplier’s privileged interface in this process.
  • Ensure product and process compliance, in particular by ensuring that the control plan is properly implemented.
  • Approve the product qualification of suppliers to proceed with the release of the qualified part and authorize the ordering of other similar parts.

Monitor Supplier Quality performance

  • Conduct surveillance audits (product, manufacturing process, quality according to ISO 9001, regulatory and ethical requirements (SRG)… ) to ensure suppliers always have effective process controls, rigorous product validation methods and that they comply with the parameters used during qualifications.
  • Manage supplier waiver requests.
  • Ensure the management of non‑conformities at the supplier’s factory or at the customer’s site (ensure supplier responsibility, supervise the control plan, take charge of the correction of defects, the analysis of causes and the deployment of associated corrective and preventive actions).
  • Manage the continuous improvement of supplier product quality performance.
  • Provide methodological support to the buyer/supplier during the negotiation of non‑quality cost recovery.
  • Initiate and execute Supplier Quality Improvement Programs with top offenders.

Manage technical deviations

  • Continuously follow up the punch items and nonconformities resulting from the quality surveillance inspections up to their closure.
  • Lead RCAs and RCIs with suppliers as per business‑defined impact thresholds, support supplier to create the corrective and preventative actions, monitor their implementation and perform the effectiveness check.
  • Analyze customer escapes and Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and support vendor recovery process.

Technical Commodity Expert and Coordinator

  • First point of contact for interface functions for his respective commodities, heavy fabrication, skid pump, coolers, forged and machined shaft, coating, …
  • Continuous Lessons‑Learned implementation to support SQE team technical competencies development.
  • Support Projects’ ITO regarding supplier quality requirements, resources, supplier TA cost, audit/inspection travel & lodging budget, and second‑party cost estimate.
  • Lead of third‑party inspector or SQ Inspectors QA/QC.
  • Request to specialized company, with job description and research profile.
  • Analyze and trial of profile, interview, coordination, explanation of the needs, ensure relevant level of inspection.
  • Support SQM of France GE PCS plants for NCR resolution and RCAs of critical claims.

Profile Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Engineer’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Materials, Welding, Coating, Machining.
  • Expert’s degree in heavy fabrication, machining, milling, turning, welding, heat treatment, coating, casting, forging.
  • Six Sigma Green belt.
  • NDT inspector VT Level 2 ISO 9712.
  • Robust skills in MPI / DPT / UT NDT process (evaluate the NDT process of the supplier).
  • International / European Welding Specialist (IWS/EWS).
  • FROSIO level 3 surface treatment inspector.
  • Diploma – welding & materials engineering.
  • ISO 9001:2025 QMS Lead Auditor IRCA.
  • Experience in management of third‑party inspector or SQ Inspectors QA/QC.
  • 10 years’ working experience in Supplier Quality, operations/supply chain in Power Generation industry.
  • Fluent English level (C1).

Soft And Behavioural Skills

  • Capacity to organize working time in global team setting and willingness to adjust it based on meetings with stakeholders in different time zones and flexibility/willingness to travel to supplier facilities in Europe, US, and Asia up to 30 %.
