Designer Analogue – Pixel & TestChip Design

Position: Designer Analogue

Location: Crolles, France

Responsibilities

Develop and update test circuits for pixel and SPAD characterization. Work closely with architects, characterization and process teams to define precise specifications. Perform full‑custom design of the Custom Analog Block (CAB), requiring layout, simulation and knowledge of advanced CMOS fabrication processes (40 nm and below). Leverage Process Development, Physics and Advanced Design to improve test circuit competitiveness while meeting sensor requirements. Collaborate with teams across Crolles, Grenoble, Edinburgh and Singapore and maintain reporting methods.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in Physics, Microelectronics, Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Cadence (schematic and layout).
• Analog design and mixed‑signal simulation skills.
• Knowledge of photonic devices (pixel, SPAD) and image sensors.
• Familiarity with advanced CMOS process technologies.
• Understanding of semiconductor device operation and experience with component or circuit characterization.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Experience with optical characterization benches.
• Master’s degree or equivalent (5‑level).
• 2‑5 years of relevant experience.
• Business‑fluent English.
