Key objective — Own the deterministic safety-critical T1 architecture that ultimately authorises all vehicle motion.
Mission
Own the T1 architecture end to end across hardware, middleware and software.
The mission is to define the safe control platform that ultimately authorises vehicle motion: safety compute, MCU/SoC, RTOS/BSP, deterministic middleware, command gate, actuator interfaces, safe-state behaviour, evidence expectations and independence from the partner UGV base.
- Define the T1 reference architecture across safety compute, MCU/SoC, RTOS/BSP, deterministic middleware and safety-critical software.
- Own architectural rules for command acceptance, rejection, degradation and safe state.
- Arbitrate HW/MW/SW trade-offs against determinism, safety, cyber, maintainability and sovereignty.
- Chair T1 architecture reviews and make decisions binding for platform integration and suppliers.
- Translate safety concepts into executable architecture constraints and evidence expectations.
- Ensure strategic T1 components have fallback, substitution or controlled-interface options.

Education & experience
10 to 12+ years in safety-critical embedded systems, vehicle control, automotive, aerospace, robotics or comparable critical systems.

T1 reference architecture baselined; safety compute and RTOS/BSP strategy selected; command-gate concept documented; deterministic timing budget issued; critical partner interfaces controlled.
