The R&I Center is home to more than 500 passionate experts of 40 different nationalities, working in the fields of life sciences, health and nutrition, consumer experience and the development of tomorrow's products. It supports innovation and development with laboratories and pilot facilities. The Advanced Technology Department’s mission is to deliver breakthrough technologies to create value for people and planet, collaborating across R&I Technologies, Zones, Categories, and other functions (Engineering, Operations, QFS, etc.). The center focuses on 1) Milk & Protein valorization, 2) Digital Transformation & Data modelling, 3) Water Sciences and Technology, 4) SITEX Industrial pilot & pilot network transformation. Priorities include plant-based alternatives to dairy, milk and milk ingredients optimization, packaging transformation, innovative ingredients, development and mastering of technologies and processes enabling rapid transfer to markets, and simplification through new high-value technologies. We emphasize development of standards in digital need-based work.

We are looking for a Concentration and Separation Technologist Junior to join our Concentration and Separation team, working on Dairy, Plant-Based and Specialized Nutrition applications (new ingredients, new functionalities, new applications, new finished goods). This position takes place at Gif-sur-Yvette (FR), in Danone Research and Innovation Center, as of 1st February 2026. You will report to the Concentration and Separation R&I Director.

Your main responsibilities focus on the following areas:

• Develop and optimize processes (e.g., membrane filtration) for the extraction, separation and concentration of compounds at different stages of the manufacturing process (e.g., upstream extraction of plant-origin raw materials or downstream concentration to obtain protein-rich finished dairy products).
• Create, structure and implement projects.
• Run trials at pilot plant scale, analyze results and optimize the process.
• Collaborate with other experts from R&I Advanced Technology and validate produced products with product developers; participate in consumer tests if needed.
• Develop synergies with other R&I functions as well as Engineering, Quality, Operations, Cycle and Procurement / Milk Valorisation Unit. Actively participate in business case development.
• Deliver recommendations and guidelines for implementation in regions (GTS and trainings) in collaboration with Engineering and Quality.
• Develop and centralise technological expertise of the concentration and separation team and Danone more globally. Deliver and improve trainings about Concentration and Separation applications. Be an active member of the membrane filtration community.

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate with a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.

• From a Master degree in Food Technology or Food Process Engineering with over 3 years of experience in this field.
• Available as of 1 February.
• Essential Criteria 1 – Strong communication, teamwork mindset, rigorous.
• Essential Criteria 2 – Experience with Excel, SAP, PowerBI (Hard skills).
• Essential Criterion 3 – English proficiency is essential to communicate with the rest of the team.
