Overview

This role is a member of the brand marketing legal support team. The position supports Pernod Ricard’s brand company marketing and innovation functions, covering activities such as new product development, global campaigns, marketing asset development, talent engagement, product and design collaborations, sponsorships, events, and external agency engagement. The role reports to the Global Marketing Senior Legal Manager and works closely with lawyers, marketing and innovation professionals, and stakeholders throughout the Pernod Ricard group.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support on all brand marketing related contracts, including sponsorships, events, talent acquisition, collaborations, brand licensing, and agency engagement for the brand owner, HQ and innovation teams; manage disputes and respond to queries.
  • Advise on legal requirements for brand and product claims on packaging and marketing materials, including the use of GIs, sustainability claims, product classification and brand history claims.
  • Offer legal support for brand marketing and innovation projects.
  • Manage external legal service providers to ensure high quality and cost‑effective services.
  • Help manage and deliver special projects such as development of content for online facilities and digital self‑service legal tools.
  • Consult key stakeholders, particularly brand company legal directors, on legal risk acceptance and strategy, and keep them informed of all relevant activities.
  • Communicate with the wider business—including Pernod Ricard HQ, brand owner companies, external advisers and other departments—and provide training, where required.
  • Keep accurate and up‑to‑date records of all contracts, cases and projects and produce regular reports on legal matters for key stakeholders.
  • Maintain legal templates and other tools to support a continuous improvement strategy.

Qualifications

  • Qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate in your jurisdiction.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong relationships and collaborate with key internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Excellent commercial awareness.
  • Willingness to embrace new ways of working, continuous improvement and digital transformation.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise amid competing demands from multiple teams at multiple affiliates.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Aptitude for agile learning beyond law, including technical, operational, commercial and fiscal matters.

Other

Subject to the policies applying to staff at your primary location, including flexible working policies. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
