Responsibilities

• Supporting the definition of an agricultural methane roadmap based on input from the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture, and other line ministries.
• Coordinating the preparation of the Methane Roadmap for the livestock sector for presentation to the government of Azerbaijan, ensuring an inclusive process involving key stakeholders and integration of recommendations into national frameworks.
• Ensuring the roadmap aligns with climate policies, air pollution control, and agriculture policies, engaging stakeholders in shaping methane reduction strategies.
• Providing recommendations for the inclusion of agricultural methane in the next round of Azerbaijan’s NDC and implementation plan.
