Key Responsibilities

• Support the definition of an agricultural methane roadmap based on inputs from the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, and other line ministries.
• Coordinate the preparation of the Methane Roadmap for the livestock sector and present it to the government of Azerbaijan.
• Ensure an inclusive process involving key stakeholders—including the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Environment, other relevant ministries, farmer associations, NGOs, the private sector, and academia—for integrating recommendations into national frameworks.
• Align the roadmap with climate policies, air pollution control, and agriculture policies.
• Recommend the inclusion of agricultural methane in Azerbaijan’s next NDC and implementation plan.
