Casting Process Development Engineer – LPDC
Casting Process Development Engineer – LPDC
We are recruiting for a Casting Process Development Engineer with a strong background in Low Pressure Die Casting (LPDC).
About the role
You will develop and optimize the product/process combination for casting operations, with a clear focus on LPDC, ensuring quality and productivity levels meet customer specifications. You'll play a hands‑on role supporting the transfer of new products and production sites across the group, and will be closely involved in prototype development from concept through to milestone delivery.
Your responsibilities
You will lead the development, optimization, and standardization of LPDC processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance. You'll support process engineers and manufacturing teams by translating strong theoretical LPDC knowledge into robust, practical production practices, and provide hands‑on expertise for process troubleshooting, tooling validation, machine setup, and new product industrialization.
You'll assist in the design and validation of tooling, run development casting sessions, define process control requirements, and test technical solutions to validate robustness through simulation and trials. You'll write reference manufacturing files, maintain up-to-date knowledge of LPDC technologies and best practices, and ensure development results and technical recommendations are properly documented and shared across the organization.
Your profile
You're a hands‑on professional with proven, on‑site experience in a casting or foundry environment, ideally with varied process exposure but primarily grounded in LPDC. You know how to coordinate activities across departments and sites, and you build strong working relationships with production teams, quality colleagues, project managers, and suppliers alike. You're a natural connector, comfortable working cross‑functionally.
You're open to occasional international travel to support other production sites within the group. Professional English is required; additional languages are a plus, and a willingness to learn is welcome.
What's on offer
The opportunity to join a global industrial group at the heart of new product development and industrialization, with real technical ownership and international exposure.
