Capital Equipment Procurement Manager
Job Description Summary
Based in Le Pont-de-Claix (Grenoble) and part of the Biopharma Systems Global Procurement team, the Capital Equipment Procurement Manager partners closely with production sites across the United States, Mexico, France, and Hungary. The role operates cross-functionally with the Global Integrated Engineering team and other critical stakeholders, including Operations, Quality Assurance, and Finance, to ensure alignment, performance, and value creation across the organization. The role is accountable for defining and deploying the sourcing strategy in line with the three-to-five-year roadmap, working in close collaboration with the Global Category Manager and key business stakeholders.
Main responsibilities
- Support Capital Equipment Projects and ensure deliverables on time according to Business priorities
- Drive sourcing process, RFQ and suppliers selection in line with category strategy
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and monitor their implementation
- Lead supplier management activities and execute supplier compliance activities
- Prepare, negotiate and formalize master supply agreements with capex suppliers
- Organize and lead regular reviews with suppliers
- Contribute to the worldwide Procurement strategy with the Global Category Manager
- Work in close alignment with the Procurement Managers in other regions
Preferred Profile
- Engineering background with experience in Procurement (ideally master’s degree in purchasing on top of engineering background)
- Minimum 5 years of professional background in Procurement ideally in capital equipment
- Standout colleague, strong influencing and communication skills within a highly matrixed and multi-cultural organization
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Experience in competitive sector such as automotive, medical technology, healthcare or pharmaceutical industry as an advantage
- Medium travel may be required
Salary Range
- 60,000 – 75,000 EUR per annum
- 55,000 – 88,000 EUR per annum
