Cabin & Cargo Mechanical Equipment Engineer (f/m)

Airbus Commercial Aircraft seeks a Cabin & Cargo Mechanical Equipment Engineer to join our In‑Service Engineering Department in Toulouse, France. You will support the complete in‑service fleet of Airbus commercial aircraft ranging from the first Wide‑Body models to the latest A350, A330neo and A321XLR.

Responsibilities

  • Act as key technical referent for primary perimeter(s); engage with secondary perimeters as required.
  • Respond to customer queries via the Tech Request Manager tool and through direct phone calls or meetings with airlines or their representatives.
  • Mentor newcomers (apprentices, interns, temps) through technical training and awareness sessions.
  • Provide on‑site assistance, including standby overnight and weekend support when scheduled.
  • Monitor and record in‑service events, identify recurring or safety issues, and launch corrective actions via Major In‑service Problem (MISP) or Request For Work (RFW).
  • Propose, author and review Pre‑Defined Solutions (PDS). Provide In‑Service Information (ISI) and Technical Follow‑Up (TFU) with a high level of quality.
  • Transmit feedback on service experience, maintenance activities and significant issues to management, design organization (FEEL) and suppliers.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, webinars, regional conferences on Cabin & Cargo technical topics.
  • Support the Change Request process and review documentation for new programs, modifications or adaptations to in‑service programs.

Qualifications

  • Engineer with experience in aircraft systems or structure, preferably in Cabin & Cargo systems.
  • Negotiable level of English, written and spoken (required for communication with customers and design offices).
  • Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer‑support orientation and coordination skills.
  • Team player, adaptable, flexible and able to coordinate activities beyond purely technical tasks.
  • Commitment to integrity and awareness of compliance risks.
