Job Description

The Business Unit Director sHTG is a senior leadership role within the French affiliate. The BUD is responsible for establishing, building, and leading the Business Unit for the launch and lifecycle management of Tryngolza. The role requires exemplary cross‑functional leadership, deep stakeholder engagement, and an ability to operate strategically and operationally in a dynamic environment.

  • Lead the Business Unit (sales and marketing) to ensure a unified approach to customers and stakeholders.
  • Develop, own, and execute the country launch and post‑launch strategy for Tryngolza, ensuring alignment with European and global strategic priorities.
  • Establish optimal BU structure, OPEX, and FTE levels to support successful launch and sustainable growth. Recruit, develop, and lead high‑performing marketing and sales teams and foster a culture of empowerment, accountability, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Drive strong cross‑functional collaboration with Medical Affairs PACE and rest f organization, ensuring aligned strategic planning, seamless execution, and a consistent external voice across all Tryngolza activities.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with Patient Access to secure optimal reimbursement and access in an area of high unmet need.
  • Drive sales force effectiveness activities through sales management teams, creating a culture of excellence.
  • Data‑driven mindset, capable of shaping omnichannel strategy to drive SoV and create best‑in‑class customer engagement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clinical experts, patient advocacy groups, scientific societies, and market access stakeholders across the country.
  • Act as the face of Sobi sHTG in key customer interactions and represent the affiliate in global working groups.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the therapy landscape, treatment pathways, and competitor environment for the Tryngolza indication.
  • Full P&L responsibility for the sHTG BU, including revenue forecasting and management of agreed OPEX.
  • Ensure delivery of sales, market share, and strategic KPIs and provide timely insights to the regional and global team regarding local market needs, competitor intelligence, and real‑world operational dynamics.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in science, medicine, or business.
  • 15+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Proven commercial leadership with successful product launches.
  • Strong experience in specialty care.
  • Demonstrated success in sales/marketing leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of country healthcare and market access systems.
  • Experience managing significant budgets and forecasting.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Travel requirement 30% of working time.

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA or postgraduate commercial qualification.
  • Prior involvement across the full lifecycle of specialty medicines.
  • Experience operating in highly complex or rapidly evolving disease areas.
