Business Segment Lead

The Business Segment Lead role is responsible for achieving market leadership within a specific French market segment. The role requires articulating a vision, setting priorities, allocating resources, and making strategic decisions based on market insights while collaborating with Product, Insurance, Sales, and Marketing teams.

Main responsibilities

  • Market Intelligence — Build expertise on the market and competitive landscape, using both quantitative sizing and qualitative customer insights.
  • Value Proposition & Pricing — Differentiate the offer and define the best product offering for the segment.
  • Go‑to‑Market Strategy — Develop renewal and expansion strategies, adapting distribution channels, sub‑segments, and partner management.
  • P&L Ownership & Resources Allocation — Own return on investment and build the case for internal resource allocation.
  • Product Trade‑Off — Work with product teams to build the best product based on market insights.

Target Segments

  • Tech – Core market in start‑up & SaaS sub‑segment; momentum in consulting.
  • Industry – Growth opportunity across Manufacturing, Wholesale, Textiles, Luxury & Cosmetics.
  • New Segments – High‑potential sub‑segments where new opportunities will be built.

Ideal profile

  • At least 8 years of prior experience leading a business or product category.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Exceptional ability to establish transversal influence.
  • Experience analysing and manipulating data to build a 360‑degree view of the market.
  • Strong business sense and depth in product considerations.
  • Ability to articulate clear strategies amid complexity.
  • Prior experience working with senior leadership.
  • Generalist self‑starter able to adapt quickly and support teammates; willingness to work on the field.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Brussels, Madrid or Barcelona.
