Business Process Owner (BPO) – R2R F/M
As part of the Group Finance Business Process & Excellence, the Business Process Owner (BPO) is responsible for the end-to-end ownership, stability, and continuous improvement of the Record to Report process at group level. The role is key to safeguard the Finance Core Model following the deployment of SAP S/4HANA and satellite systems in Southern and Northern Europe.
Responsibilities
- Ensure end-to-end ownership of the R2R process post Go-Live for the regions operating with the new IT landscape.
- Safeguard the Finance Core Model, including process design, controls, and configurations.
- Ensure consistent and sustainable execution across regions and entities.
- Secure a high level of automation and the benefits of the implemented solution.
- Validate, prioritize and govern change requests, deviations, and improvements.
- Act as a key interface between Finance, IT, and regional teams, coordinating with IT to ensure a controlled system evolution and supporting the key user community across the group.
- Maintain process documentation and training materials, running training sessions when needed.
- Contribute to performance monitoring and continuous improvement, identifying and driving automation levers and digital opportunities to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Secure strong cooperation and alignment with the Project R2R stream leader and support potential new local implementations.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in the R2R process.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA in a post-go-live environment.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, controls, and data governance.
- Ability to operate in a multi-country Group environment.
- Interest in and experience with AI tools is a plus.
- Fluent professional English.
- Strong problem-solving skills and confidence dealing with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Curiosity and ability to develop and implement innovative action plans.
