Business Development Representative
About the Role
We are looking for a driven and energetic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. The BDR will be the first point of contact for potential customers, helping to generate new business opportunities and build relationships that drive growth. The role involves identifying prospects, engaging through multiple channels, qualifying leads, and working closely with the sales and marketing teams to convert opportunities into long‑term partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and onboard primary target users for the FlexUp platform, including entrepreneurs, advisors, freelancers, investors, public agencies, and anchor networks such as incubators and business schools.
- Develop and nurture a "FlexUp Hub"—a thriving local community of users who actively use the platform and collaborate with one another.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and develop strategic partnerships to accelerate ecosystem growth.
- Significantly increase user sign‑ups and drive platform usage, measured by the number of transactions per account.
- Raise awareness about FlexUp in your region through targeted communication, active networking, and organizing engaging events.
- Leverage our generous free plan and valuable tools, like contract frameworks, to attract a wide user base.
- Generate revenue from subscription fees for premium features and advisory services.
- Ensure free users transition to paid plans by helping them leverage the full power of the FlexUp ecosystem.
- Utilize FlexUp's flexible payment structure to enable startups to access advisory services by paying with equity.
- Analyze market trends, incorporate feedback to refine strategy, and develop and present compelling proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and coordinate with FlexUp’s central sales and marketing teams.
Compensation
The initial compensation will be 100% in FlexUp equity (credits and tokens) for the first~6 months, until we raise external funding or begin generating revenues. We are also flexible regarding part‑time or cash options for candidates depending on their circumstances.
How We Work
All work will be performed in a fast‑paced environment, with the expectation that the BDR will drive growth and adoption in Year 1 and focus on monetization in Year 2.
