Airbus Commercial Aircraft – Business Development Manager – Training Center (H/F)
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Business Development Manager – Training Center (H/F) to join Airbus’ Training Center (ST) within the Customer Services Department based in Toulouse, France. The role will focus on developing new ideas to increase Training Services market share, expanding the network, and pioneering new concepts and tools for training delivery.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business‑development initiatives worldwide to expand training organisation revenue and profit streams.
- Identify, assess and implement partnership opportunities, acquisitions, new affiliates, and other investments proposed within the Training Center.
- Lead innovation and investment committee governance to ensure lean and agile investment decision making, maximizing safety, customer value, and competitiveness.
- Maintain worldwide market awareness and propose strategic orientations to position Airbus appropriately within the ST service/product value chain.
- Coordinate closely with other Airbus divisions to maximise business synergies in the Training Service scope.
- Engage in commercial negotiations and secure contractual commitments in line with the overall programme strategy.
- Plan frequent travel to connect with customers and partners.
Qualifications
- Ambitious self‑starter with a proven track record delivering new concepts or commercial successes in partnership with customers.
- Deep understanding of Training Services, either within or outside Airbus, in flight and/or maintenance training.
- Prior airline experience is highly appreciated.
- Proven experience facing customers, including in difficult situations, with the ability to adapt, react and anticipate.
- Ability to conduct market analysis, structure and model businesses, and build financial forecasts.
- Excellent English level required; any other language is a plus.
- Holding a private or professional pilot license, or a maintenance engineer license is a plus.
- Holding a degree or equivalent in business/commercial with proven experience in sales, business development, contract negotiation, or marketing supporting sales.
