Business Development Manager - Private Equity - Law firm - Paris
A leading international business law firm advising public and private companies, financial institutions and governmental organisations is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its Private Equity practice in central Paris.
Working closely with the Private Equity BD leadership, the Paris BD team, Partners and Associates, you will play a central role in delivering the practice’s business development strategy and supporting its continued growth in France and internationally.
You will contribute to high-impact, client-focused BD initiatives, ensuring strong coordination between local, regional and global priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of the Private Equity business development strategy for the Paris practice, in line with the firm’s wider client, sector and global priorities.
- Contribute to the preparation and review of business plans, including measurable KPIs, timelines and regular monitoring of progress.
- Support client development plans and identify cross-practice and cross-border opportunities in collaboration with Partners, client teams and sector BD colleagues.
- Prepare tailored pitch materials, panel submissions and client proposals, working closely with lawyers and relevant pitch teams.
- Use client, market, pipeline and CRM data to identify opportunities, track activity and provide clear reporting and insights to stakeholders.
- Monitor competitor developments, client movements and market trends to help inform business development priorities and actions.
- Collaborate with BD, marketing and shared services teams across the firm to ensure consistent delivery, effective use of tools and strong coordination across regions.
Profile required
- Significant Business Development experience supporting Private Equity services within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of Private Equity transactions, fund formation and market dynamics.
- Proven experience working closely with Partners and senior stakeholders in an international environment.
- Strong pitching, proposal writing, analytical and project management skills.
- Excellent written and spoken French and English.
Salary and benefits
- Salary of up to €86,000 per year , depending on experience and profile
- Annual individual performance bonus & profit-sharing scheme
- 25 days of annual leave plus 12 RTT days per year and your birthday off
- Two additional days off during the Christmas period
