Our client’s Microsoft Business Solutions team is a Microsoft Gold Partner and a leader in Microsoft software implementations for medium to large organisations. They provide clients with the ability to stay current in an ever‑changing digital world by implementing Microsoft’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Engagement (CE) software from the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) line.

Role Overview

Our client seeks a Business Development Manager responsible for driving utilisation and dependence on their Microsoft solutions. The role involves building trusted advisor relationships with client firms, progressing opportunities for MBS in the international market, and leveraging a hybrid skillset of business development, pre‑sales, technical excellence and delivery. The candidate will advocate innovation, support team development and promote cross‑team collaboration.

Salary: Base + Benefits (Paid in Euros €)

Relocation: VISA & Relocation Package Included

Requirements

  • Highly experienced in Microsoft solution sales
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft technology (particularly Dynamics 365, Office 365 and Azure)
  • Strong cross‑industry experience (Public Sector, Financial Services and Consumer Markets)
  • Experience working in partnership with Microsoft to develop business systems or cloud‑based technology propositions for client needs
  • Experience working in an LLP organisation
  • Demonstrable track record developing long‑term profitable relationships with mid‑ and large‑sized organisations
  • Ability to develop a demand generation strategy for a Microsoft solution sales team and lead the team to successful execution
  • Lead Microsoft‑centric transformation deals with values in excess of £2m
  • Lead the development of solutions, consulting offerings and assets to drive repeatable sales
  • Extensive experience working with senior stakeholders within a large consulting organisation or system integrator to develop pipeline, understanding the unique structure and culture of a partnership‑based operating model
  • Experience developing front‑ and back‑office transformation propositions using Microsoft technology
  • Extensive Microsoft network at sales level
  • Create a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation
  • Lead sales interlock with delivery teams to ensure profitable growth in partnership
  • Passionate about discussing current technology issues and market direction with clients
  • Collaborative working style with clients and various teams
  • Creative problem‑solving ability in ambiguous situations
  • Empathy for diverse viewpoints, active listening and addressing concerns
  • Build co‑operative relationships and foster an environment where everyone’s opinion is valued

Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Own and execute a demand generation strategy for key industry markets to drive pipeline and meet sales KPIs
  • Develop overall positioning, uniqueness and messaging for Microsoft offerings within the specified industry
  • Generate pipeline and execute sales for the organization
  • Identify and develop opportunities to diversify across sub‑industries, emerging technology and services propositions to build pipeline
  • Collaborate with client teams to create integrated propositions that meet specific industry or client needs
  • Lead interlock with delivery organization to ensure contracts with clients are robust, sales teams support program delivery, and innovative, profitable commercial constructs are developed
  • Develop a marketing and communications plan to drive pipeline for white‑space clients
  • Ensure client relationships and commercial engagements are managed effectively to support successful delivery and long‑term relationship development

Business Development – Execution

  • Own and cultivate senior stakeholder relationships within key strategic accounts
  • Own and manage key relationships within client networks to drive pipeline from within their client base
  • Own and manage relationships with key Microsoft stakeholders to develop co‑selling opportunities
  • Lead key bids and proposals for large‑scale transformation programmes (typically £1‑4m)
  • Act as a trusted advisor with clients around strategic business and technology needs
  • Lead and support contract negotiation and ensure compliance with internal policy
