About the Team and the Role

This role sits within eBay Live and focuses on accelerating growth in the French market through seller acquisition, partnerships, livestream expansion, and category development. The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in building and scaling eBay Live in France by identifying high‑potential sellers, driving central initiatives, and leading local business development efforts. The role combines business development, category strategy, analytics and negotiation. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams including Marketing, Category Management, Seller Engagement, Operations, and Product to strengthen eBay Live’s position within key verticals such as Collectibles, Fashion, Luxury, and Electronics.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Grow eBay Live’s business development activities in France, with a strong focus on seller acquisition, livestream activation, and GMV growth.
  • Identify, negotiate, and onboard high‑potential sellers, creators, and strategic partners that drive category growth and customer engagement.
  • Build and implement category‑specific acquisition strategies aligned with broader EU and global eBay Live priorities.
  • Drive seller performance and long‑term growth through relationship management, strategic guidance, and operational support.
  • Develop and manage a healthy BD pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and opportunity tracking across the funnel.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional collaborators including Marketing, Category Management, Seller Engagement, Legal, and Operations teams.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer behavior to identify new opportunities and optimize go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Ensure strong execution field and visibility through CRM tools, reporting frameworks, and critical metric tracking.

What You Will Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Development, Account Management, Marketplace Growth, or Sales within e-commerce, live commerce, creator economy, or digital platforms.
  • Strong commercial approach with a consistent track record of driving acquisition, partnerships, and revenue growth.
  • Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills with the ability to influence both external and internal collaborators.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience working with performance metrics, forecasting, and pipeline management.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally across Marketing, Operations, Product, and Commercial teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HIVE.
  • Strong understanding of social commerce, livestream shopping, creator ecosystems, and marketplace business models is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in French and English is required.
