About the role
As a Business Development Manager at Sunrock, you focus on building long‑term partnerships that help reshape France’s industrial and real‑estate landscape. You’re the deal‑maker, the connector, and the “business architect” for our ambitious French team.
You’ll identify and secure new opportunities across commercial and industrial sectors, delivering tailored energy solutions that make a real impact. From first contact to signed commitment, you’ll own the process and ensure a smooth handover to our Project Development team.
What You’ll Do
- Manage an active pipeline – Identify, develop, and track opportunities across commercial, industrial, and retail sectors.
- Develop tailored energy solutions – Understand client needs by delivering integrated energy solutions, including rooftop PV, batteries, and carports, aligned with client ambitions and local energy needs.
- Win new business – Build relationships, actively network, and act as Sunrock’s face to win new clients in a competitive market.
- Foster client relationships – Maintain multiple opportunities simultaneously, collaborating closely with Product Leads, Project Developers, and Marketing.
- Seamless client handover – Ensure smooth transition of projects to Project Development once projects are secured.
- Project control & oversight – Support planning and tracking in the early phases of development projects to keep them aligned with Sunrock’s standards.
- Stakeholder management – Engage internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project execution and success.
- Enhance Sunrock’s offerings & upsell – Use market insights and client feedback to refine offerings and identify upsell opportunities within Sunrock’s portfolio.
- Customer satisfaction – Proactively address client feedback and ensure a high level of satisfaction and service.
- Market intelligence – Utilize market intelligence and tools (e.g., RCA) to drive lead generation and pipeline development.
- Cross functional – Collaborate cross‑functionally to stay up to date on all service lines within Sunrock.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Energy, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in complex business development within the Real Estate field, with a proven track record of closing deals.
- Knowledge of the energy sector, preferably in Commercial & Industrial and solar solutions.
- Strong commercial skills and ability to translate technical and financial insights into client‑focused solutions.
- Talent for networking and representing the company at events, building community engagement.
- Excellent communication skills and a structured, independent way of working.
- Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written).
