Business Controller
Vehicle Aftermarket Kit Center France- SKF Automotive Business
Within the Vehicle Aftermarket (VA) business unit, Vehicle Parts (VP) St Cyr-sur-Loire (130 employees, €215 million in revenue in 2025, 10.5 million kits produced per year) is responsible for manufacturing product ranges of kits intended for the automotive aftermarket. VP produces 60,000 kits per day and manages more than 25,000 product references.
Key responsibilities
- Own the standard cost calculation process for kitting operations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational realities.
- Analyze logistics costs (transportation, warehousing, distribution, etc.), identify cost drivers, and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Review General Ledger accounts during monthly close. Prepare and present financial and operational reports, including variance analysis, KPIs, and dashboards for senior leadership.
- Drive controlling processes: yearly planning process, quarterly forecasts, monthly close activities, regular pulse meetings and transformation project meetings.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to logistics spend.
- Support the Investment Review and Evaluation (IREs) process for aftermarket packaging operations.
- Provide financial analysis and support for VA France transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities for operational and financial improvement
- Ensure that Standard Cost calculation, reporting, accounting and other financial and controlling matters are in line with SKF and local legal requirements.
- Ensure purchasing cost control and drive cost down activities in close collaboration with purchasing team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in FP&A, logistics finance, or supply chain analytics.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and cost structures, especially in manufacturing, automotive or aftermarket environments.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g.SAP) and BI tools (e.g.Power BI).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence decision-making.
- Fluent in French and English language
