Business Analyst – South Europe Affiliate (Rungis, Paris)
This role is based at our Rungis, Paris office in Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division. As the Business Analyst for the South Europe Affiliate (France, Italy, Spain & distributor markets) you will shape data‑driven strategies and enable smarter commercial decisions. You will report directly to the Commercial Excellence Manager for the region with a dotted‑line reporting relationship to the Affiliate General Manager.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Maintain the company’s data to ensure scalability, efficiency, and integrity.
- Define data standards, guidelines, and best practices for consistent data management.
- Collaborate with IT to implement data infrastructure solutions such as data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL processes.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business requirements and analytical needs.
- Integrate data from diverse sources including sales systems, CRM platforms, market research databases, and third‑party sources.
- Analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer behavior to identify opportunities and risks.
- Generate actionable insights and recommendations to optimize sales strategies, pricing, and promotion.
- Develop predictive models and forecasting algorithms to support sales forecasting and planning.
- Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key performance indicators and business insights.
- Customize reports and analytics tools to meet the specific needs of sales teams, executives, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—sales, marketing, finance, and IT—to understand business requirements and prioritize data initiatives.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert on data‑related projects, providing guidance and expertise to stakeholders.
Minimum Experience / Training Required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, business analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Power BI, data modelling, and user‑friendly dashboard/report development.
- Proven experience in database management and data integration.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modelling, and ETL processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
- Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical/medical device sales processes, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
