We are currently seeking a Business Administrator to support our construction site in Louisiana, USA , reporting directly to the Head of Construction Department . This role will initially be based in Paris, France for six months before relocating to Cameron Parish, Louisiana as part of a long‑term expatriate assignment.
This is a key role within a fast‑paced, high‑impact construction environment, supporting the smooth operation of business, administrative, and people processes for a site of 400+ employees . Your Mission
As Business Administrator, you will play a central role in ensuring the effective day‑to‑day functioning of the site by managing administrative, business, and personnel‑related processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and managing administrative procedures
- Ensuring the smooth operation of site office services
- Supporting the administrative management of supervision personnel
- Coordinating accommodation and local transportation for contractor teams, vendor representatives, licensors, and visitors
- Maintaining personnel records and reports
- Coordinating immigration and administrative matters
- Managing work permit processes with local authorities and customs clearance requirements
- Monitoring timesheets for contractor local personnel and expatriates
- Organizing travel and ticketing services
- Managing the contractor car pool
- Leading and coordinating a team of 5 external contributors
About You
We are looking for a proactive, organized, and people‑focused professional who thrives in a dynamic industrial environment and enjoys working across multiple priorities.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Technical Diploma (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or a business diploma
- At least 5 years of experience in business/admin roles on construction sites within the oil & gas or energy sector
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
- Exposure to functional management, which would be an advantage
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Confidence in working with key business stakeholders
- The ability to perform effectively in a high‑stakes industrial environment
- English fluency is required; French is a plus but not mandatory
