Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Business Accountant (f/m) to join our finance team based in Toulouse, France. You will play a key role in the production of the financial statements, ensure the compliance with legal and group accounting rules and will support and work in close cooperation with the Airbus Defence & Space programme controlling community in France.

Your challenges
Closing Process and Financial Data
- Coordinating the closing planning with G/L team, Cost Accounting and the controlling community.
- Ensuring a smooth closing process and data submission on time and on quality.
- Ensure consistency of financial reporting and financial statements: P&L, balance sheet, Free Cash Flow and order intake / backlog and mastering the understanding of P&L and Balance sheet with a good view on cash developments and its system implications.
- Ensuring a consistent communication and presentation to senior management, the Central Accounting team and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring the availability and preparation of auditable documentation related to key programs.
- Be a focal point for Auditors.
Business Partnering and Improvements
- Work as a proactive partner with program line controllers from all ADS France perimeter: Space System, Connected Intelligence or Air Power.
- Drive and animate the collection of Project Expected at Completion results process with accounting guidelines.
- Actively propose financial systems improvements and processes simplifications, contribute to processes harmonization across all ADS entities.
Accounting Expertise and Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with Airbus Group Standards and Accounting guidelines.
- Ensuring the implementation of compliant accounting for programs in France in close alignment with the ADS Central Accounting team and the Group's Technical Accounting.
- Supporting the preparation and review of the IFRS15 questionnaires and memos for each of the significant contracts.
- Acting as a centre of competency, providing guidance, recommendations and trainings for the finance community in ADS France.
Your profile
- A solid accounting background (IFRS and French accounting standards), good understanding of controlling and consolidation processes.
- Knowledge of financial compliance risk and a good understanding of financial internal control standards.
- Experience of interaction with internal or external audit teams.
- Solid knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system / general interest in financial systems.
- Interpersonal skills: active listening, team spirit and a can‑do attitude, capacity to work with multiple stakeholders with different cultural backgrounds.
- Commitment to act with integrity, to ensure the success of the company, maintain its reputation and ensure sustainable growth.
- Level advanced in English required.
- This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
