Role Overview

The two bulk value initiatives (~€96m) have delivered ~€25m of operating‑income impact. The deputy bulk initiative leader will sustain this work and accelerate the remaining phases of the value initiative roadmap, focusing on operations and deliveries planning and transport resources and driver utilisation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate across clusters and the Single Point of Accountability (SPOA) to keep all stakeholders aligned with the Transport Resources value initiative deployment.
  • Steer the initiative through its four phases: Phase1 – support the transition to a resources utilisation monitoring process and dashboard; Phase2 – deploy the transport resource sizing process and industrialise it; Phase3 – implement planned‑vs‑realised hours performance drives; Phase4 – enable harmonised contracting models, invoicing structures, and Self‑Billing.
  • Report progress and performance to the Head Office, ensuring global visibility and clear, actionable reporting.
  • Collaborate with procurement and other partners to analyse the transport cost structure and strengthen ongoing group‑level transport resource management.
  • Evaluate and develop innovative organisational models with carrier partners (e.g., joint ventures, local internalisation) to mitigate driver shortages and address cross‑border challenges.
  • Ensure resources are effectively allocated and planned, driving continuous improvement and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven background in bulk supply‑chain operations.
  • Proficiency in business analysis and operational control.
  • Experience managing carrier contracts and collaborating with category managers or terminal/depot hubs.
  • Strong project‑management capabilities.
