Building Automation Systems Sales Engineer focusing on developing new HVAC DDC controls/Building Automation System business as well as maintaining existing customers in commercial and government construction markets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review contract drawings and specifications to generate costs during the bid process
- Track subcontractor bids, project bid dates, and communicate with customers.
- Attend job walks and interact with general contractors.
- Prepare complete estimates and proposals for projects of all sizes ($10k - $1M+).
- Ensures a smooth transition from sales to operations on contracted work.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience reading and understanding control, mechanical and electrical drawings.
- BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years experience in DDC controls, either as a project engineer, technician, installer, or similar.
- Experience selling HVAC/MEP/DDC controls and systems
- Solid understanding of mechanical and control systems
- Experience with and thorough understanding of BACnet/Modbus/Lon
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a project team.
- Ability to work on strict deadlines without supervision.
- Excellent communications skills
Compensation structure is base salary + commission.
