Job Description

Job Title: BU Finance Manager

Type of Employment: Full‑Time, Permanent. Hybrid working with 2 days in the Paris office.

Target Start Date: July 2026

Location: Paris or commutable distance to Paris. Must already be living in France and have the legal right to work without visa sponsorship.

Financial Reporting, Close & Compliance

  • Own the full P&L and Balance Sheet of the Business Unit.
  • Lead the monthly financial close under IFRS standards.
  • Coordinate the annual statutory close under French GAAP, working closely with local accounting firms and external advisors.
  • Ensure consistency between IFRS group reporting and French GAAP statutory accounts.
  • Act as the primary finance interface with Group Finance, auditors, and external accountants.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure balance sheet integrity.
  • Identify and remediate accounting, compliance, or process risks.

Operational Finance & Processes

  • Oversee billing and invoicing processes (including billing tools such as Chargebee).
  • Manage cash collection, DSO monitoring, and aged debt recovery.
  • Ensure appropriate revenue recognition in line with IFRS and contractual terms.
  • Design, document, and improve finance processes and internal controls.
  • Respond to operational finance needs from Sales, Customer Success, Tech, and Operations teams.
  • Supervise sales commission calculations.

Legal & Contract Financial Oversight

  • Review customer and partner contracts from a financial and commercial perspective.
  • Ensure alignment with French legal, financial, and accounting requirements.
  • Support Sales and Legal during negotiations by assessing margins, risks, and financial impacts.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management

  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for the Business Unit.
  • Implement rolling forecasts, reforecasting cycles, and outlook methodologies.
  • Monitor headcount, personnel costs, and operating expenses.
  • Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to management.

Business Partnering

  • Deliver management reporting (MBR, KPIs, cash, revenue metrics).
  • Provide post‑closing insights on MRR, NRR, churn, and revenue performance.
  • Support pricing decisions, upsell and cross‑sell initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to BU leadership.

FP&A & Business Development Support

  • Contribute to group FP&A cycles including budgets, forecasts, and long‑term planning.
  • Support the preparation of multi‑year strategic plans.
  • Build and maintain financial models for scenario analysis and decision‑making.
  • Provide financial support for business development projects, partnerships, and new offerings.
  • Prepare business cases, ROI analyses, and financial assessments for COMEX and leadership.

Affiliate & Team Support

  • Provide functional (dotted‑line) guidance to less senior finance staff in affiliated entities.
  • Review affiliate financial outputs and ensure consistency of standards and practices.
  • Share best practices, tools, and methodologies across the group.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex finance or accounting matters.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

  • Extensive experience in finance (Finance Manager, Financial Controller, FP&A).
  • Experience in international and multi‑entity environments.
  • Exposure to SaaS and/or logistics business models.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and French GAAP.
  • Experience working with local accounting firms and group finance teams.
  • Bac +5 (Master’s degree) in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
  • Fluent in French and English.
