Missions
Missions
Lead activities related to the tuning, evaluation, validation and certification of products from New Energies research & development projects in the field of High Pressure Vessels.
- Guarantee the satisfaction of the projects
- Guarantee the 0 accident
- Participate to the development of test means and laboratory equipment
- Participate to the know-how capitalization in Laboratory competences
- Coaches and supports Laboratory technician in his/her teams and manages their working priorities.
Activities
Laboratory Representative inside the core team of High Pressure Systems projects
- Participates to all project reviews
- Provides data, information and documents to the project leader following needs
- Participates to the definition and follow up of the project objectives, planning and budget
- Executes and follows actions issued in project meetings
- Maintains day to day contacts with the project team members especially the PAE's and VE's on technical issues
- Is the reference relative to norms, standards, specifications and High Pressure Vessels certification process
Builds test procedures and validation plans to cover specifications
- Masters, analyses & synthesizes specifications and norms relative to High Pressure Systems
- Develops validation plans including test case definition and procedure
- Controls with the PAE that the validation plan covers all the specifications including certification
- Controls with the QE that the validation plan covers the DFMEA and the HARA
Supports R&D projects
- Brings his/her knowledge and expertise to the research & development projects following needs
- Contributes to the definition of validation tools used by the Laboratory team
- Creates his/her network with Development laboratories especially with other validation engineers
- Creates his/her network with external laboratories and certification bodies
Participates to the Laboratory safety
- Takes into account the safety risks, especially those linked to hydrogen, in the definition of validation tests
- Respects all safety rules and behaves according to the target of 0 accident
- Respects rules and provides feedback when deviations are observed
Increase her/his knowledge to satisfy laboratory and business unit needs
- Provide feedback about potential training needs to her/his manager
- Show scientific curiosity about New Energies related topics
Develops and supports his team
- Empowers and guides his/her collaborators in order to demultiply initiatives and innovation spirit
- Adapts the skills of his team to the needs (training plans, external help, hiring, reorganization of tasks)
- Controls the activity of its collaborators, provide the adequate support to maintain individual and collective efficiency at its best level.
And any other activities defined by the Lab manager
Competencies requirements
Knowledge / Qualification
Engineering degree or equivalent (experience), preferably in mechanics, electro-mechanics or chemistry
Previous Experience (If relevant)
3 years of experience in similar position
- Experiences in: Lab testing, gas management (risks, behaviors …), high pressures management (hydraulic & pneumatic) and testing, usage of hydrogen is a plus.
- Software: MS Office;
- Good knowledge of fluid & solid mechanics, thermodynamics, materials properties and testing, permeation
Fluent in English; French, Dutch is a plus
Key technical competencies
Organization skills are a big plus

- Able to develop & maintain his/her technical knowledge level (self-formation)
- Highly safety oriented
- Aptitude in communication, leadership, training & team motivation
