Bridge Welder & Fabrication Technician

North Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a Welder (S) for the Elkin Bridge Maintenance Unit in Surry County. You will operate acetylene and electric arc welding equipment to repair and replace bridge components and fabricate parts from detailed plans.

You must read blueprints, cut and fit steel to tight tolerances, and perform concrete, carpentry and steel assembly tasks as required. Occasional travel and safety-first work culture are expected.
