BMS Deployment Lead – Field Projects & Coordination
Piper Maddox is delighted to be partnered with a fast-growing energy technology company delivering smart building and energy management solutions across commercial real estate portfolios throughout France.
Our client specialises in the deployment of Building Management Systems (BMS), IoT technologies, and smart energy solutions within commercial buildings ranging from 1,500–5,000m². Following significant growth and ambitious expansion plans, they are now looking for a BMS Works & Deployment Coordinator to oversee the successful execution of projects nationwide.
This is a highly autonomous, field-based role focused on coordinating subcontractors, managing multiple deployment projects simultaneously, and ensuring installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The Role
You will take ownership of BMS deployment projects from initial site preparation through to final handover and acceptance. Working across multiple sites throughout France, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage project timelines, resolve on-site technical issues, and act as the key point of contact for customers during delivery.
Projects are typically short-cycle deployments (2–4 weeks) involving electrical and low-voltage works delivered by external service providers.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Prepare sites ahead of deployment, including surveys of existing electrical infrastructure, cable routing, and connection points
- Identify site constraints and technical risks before works commence
- Coordinate schedules with clients, property managers, tenants, and subcontractors
- Manage access authorisations, prevention plans, and site compliance requirements
- Oversee on-site project execution, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met
- Conduct final inspections, manage snagging/reservations, and complete project handovers
- Resolve on-site issues including technical challenges, supply delays, or customer-related disruptions while maintaining overall project timelines
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors including electricians, integrators, and distributors
- Monitor quality of work, responsiveness, and adherence to project schedules
- Organise interventions efficiently to optimise travel, costs, and multi-site deployment planning
- Support supplier evaluation and help build a reliable network of delivery partners
- Review quotations and challenge project costs alongside the technical team
- Client & Internal Coordination
- Act as the on-site point of contact for customers during deployment works
- Coordinate with tenants and building operators to minimise disruption to operations
- Provide structured field reporting including progress updates, photos, and issue tracking
- Support wider business unit reporting on project status, planning, and budgets
Desired Profile
We are looking for candidates with:
- 3–5 years’ experience managing small-to-medium construction or technical deployment projects
- Experience within electrical, low-voltage systems, technical installations, building services, or multi-site maintenance environments
- Strong subcontractor coordination and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, field-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- A good understanding of electrical systems, cabinets, wiring, sensors, or network infrastructure
Preferred Background
- Experience within commercial real estate, occupied buildings, or institutional environments is advantageous
- Exposure to BMS, IoT, smart building, or energy management technologies would be a strong plus
