Blue Yonder WMS Consultant

A leading global logistics organization is seeking a Senior IT Solution Manager (WMS) with deep expertise in Blue Yonder WMS to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of large-scale warehouse technology solutions. This role combines strategic solution ownership with hands‑on delivery, ensuring scalable, standardized deployments within complex operational environments.

Role Overview

You will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of WMS solutions—from early customer engagement and solution design to configuration, testing, and continuous improvement. Working across Business Development, Solution Design, Operations, and IT, you will reduce customization, promote global standardization, and deliver high‑performing warehouse solutions. The role demands strong technical acumen in Blue Yonder WMS, a track record in delivering enterprise‑scale logistics IT projects, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Define solutions for new business opportunities, ensuring scalability and adherence to standard product frameworks.
• Translate operational workflows into detailed IT specifications, emphasizing reusable, low‑customization designs.
• Lead the design and integration of Blue Yonder WMS with adjacent logistics systems (ERP, TMS, carrier management, automation/WCS).
• Oversee implementation with application consultants and developers; contribute directly to configuration and testing cycles.
• Communicate progress transparently; proactively identify risks and recommend mitigation actions.
• Create training content and deliver workshops to embed WMS capabilities and best practices across teams.
• Mentor junior solution managers and consultants to strengthen WMS and solution‑design expertise.
• Conduct post‑implementation reviews to ensure stability, adoption, and ongoing performance improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in Blue Yonder WMS within logistics or supply chain environments.
• Demonstrated experience delivering multi‑site WMS projects and integrating with ERP, TMS, and warehouse automation ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end logistics processes and operational KPIs.
• Proficiency in business process modelling, requirements management, and Agile/Waterfall delivery frameworks.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and advocate for standardized solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including gap analysis and cost/benefit evaluation.
• Business fluency in French and English; French‑speaking candidates living outside France are encouraged to apply .
