The Registration & Regulatory Affairs Department is looking for a:

Main accountabilities

In a complex and continuously evolving European regulatory environment, ensure and maintain approval biorational active substances such as plant growth regulators, microbial plant protection products, plant extracts, biostimulants and biocides. Maintain a strong relationship with the global headquarters for biorational products located in the United States. Provide effective leadership to the team of the Active Substance Registration Managers to constantly deliver high quality outputs.

Registration or renewal of products

• Recommend registration strategies to the headquarters and to EMEA Management and clarify registration requirements and costs for new and existing products to optimize the development of EMEA business in the territory.
• Ensure that the R&RA team compiles and submits European and national registration files for EMEA biorational products within an agreed time frame.
• Share with the headquarters any change in registration requirements which can have an impact on the marketing plans for active substances and products in the EMEA region and predict the impact of these changes on product registrability and marketability.
• Lead regular communication with the biorational headquarters and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Ensure departmental processes and organization are continuously reviewed for efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure proper budget planning and spendings.
• Act as Registration Manager on certain Active Substances.

• Align with the Regional Team Leader.
• Manage and provide support to the team members.
• Adapt, organize, prioritize and work effectively.
• Act as the external liaison representing the company in key contacts with professional bodies such as EU Authorities, EU Commission, EFSA.
• Ensure proactive participation at industry associations such as Crop Life Europe and IBMA to influence EU legislation.

Technical and behavior skills

Background: Ph.D., Engineer’s degree or diploma in matter related to biorational registration dossiers.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years as Registration Manager, in biorational plant protection or 3 years in a team leadership position in regulatory affairs.

Languages:

• Fluent in English
• Any other language should be a plus

Additional information:

• Contract: Permanent and full-time contract
• Starting date: ASAP
• Location: Regional Headquarters near Lyon or home office based with regular presence in Lyon office
• Business trips: this position will require some travelling abroad in Europe or other regions.
