We are seeking a HIL Bench & Tools Development Engineer to strengthen our Brake Systems R&D / Validation Engineering . Your Core Responsibilities Include
- Design, develop, and maintain HIL test benches for ECU and system validation.
- Create simulation models and integrate plant models into HIL environments.
- Develop custom software tools and scripts to support automation and test execution.
- Configure and integrate hardware components, including ECUs, sensors, actuators, and wiring harnesses.
- Implement and validate automotive communication protocols such as CAN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
- Develop and execute test cases and validation sequences to verify bench functionality.
- Create automation solutions using Python, MATLAB, CAPL, C#, or similar technologies.
- Support version control practices and maintain CI/CD environments for testing activities.
- Collaborate with system engineers, software developers, and test teams to define HIL requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, provide debugging support, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Profile And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Strong experience in HIL bench development using platforms such as dSPACE, NI, or ETAS.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++, or similar programming languages.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols, including CAN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
- Experience with CAN simulation, monitoring, and diagnostics tools such as Vector CANoe and CANape.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (CAPL, C#, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience with embedded software testing and real-time systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, ADAS simulation, ASAM XIL API, Jenkins, or SVN is considered an advantage.
