We are currently assisting a leading international law firm in Paris with the appointment of a Banking & Finance Lawyer with 2–7 years of post-qualified experience to join its growing finance practice.

The successful candidate will have strong experience advising on acquisition finance, real estate finance, high-yield transactions and equity bridge financing , working with leading financial institutions, sponsors, corporates and investors on complex domestic and cross-border transactions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to develop their career within a sophisticated and internationally focused finance practice, with significant exposure to high-value transactions and an international client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise lenders, borrowers, sponsors, financial institutions and investors on a broad range of financing transactions.
• Take a leading role in acquisition finance transactions, including leveraged and sponsor-backed acquisitions.
• Advise on real estate finance matters, including financing and refinancing of commercial and investment properties.
• Work on high-yield and debt capital markets transactions , including the structuring and execution of bond and related financing arrangements.
• Advise on equity bridge financing and other interim financing structures supporting M&A and investment transactions.
• Draft, review and negotiate facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements, guarantees and other transaction documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, sponsors and other advisers throughout transactions.
• Conduct legal due diligence and identify and advise on transaction-specific legal and financing risks.
• Work closely with colleagues across corporate/M&A, real estate, tax, restructuring and other specialist practices where required.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and the continued growth of the firm's finance practice.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2–7 years PQE gained within a reputable international, Magic Circle, leading French or top-tier law firm.
• Strong experience in banking and finance , with a particular focus on acquisition finance, real estate finance, high yield and/or equity bridge financing .
• Excellent knowledge of French financing law and market practice.
• Experience handling sophisticated and cross-border financing transactions.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
• The ability to manage multiple transactions and work effectively under time pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commercially minded and client-focused approach.
• Fluent French and strong English ; additional languages would be advantageous.
