Backend Software Engineer Java – VPP Development

Responsibilities

• Develop features for handling large volumes of data with high quality and performance.
• Design and implement technical solutions, addressing both IaC infrastructure and software components.
• Own the code from production launch to monitoring.
• Mentor and support junior developers.
• Participate in Agile rituals and continuously improve team processes: backlog refinement, code review, pair programming, sprint planning, retrospectives.

Working environment

Located in Paris La Défense, the role offers 2–3 days of remote work per week. The small‑team culture encourages interaction across development, operations, commercial, and marketing groups. We embrace a strong tech ethos with open forums, circles, mobile programming, and more.

Technical stack

• Clean Architecture
• Asynchronous and event‑driven architecture (SNS / SQS / …)

Profile description

• Excellent knowledge of Domain‑Driven Design (DDD).
• Proficiency with Clean Architecture for maintainable and scalable applications.
• Experience with AI‑Driven Development to accelerate and optimise development cycles.
• Background in Event‑Driven Architecture.
• Involved in defining and implementing robust and scalable software architectures.
• Contribution to improving quality, maintainability and performance of solutions.
• Comfortable with integration, decoupling and inter‑system communication challenges.
• Solid understanding of modern software architecture principles and best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience building systems that handle large data volumes (several terabytes).
• Experience with Python.
