Backend Engineer - NodeJS / Typescript

About the role

You will join the team securing Dashlane accounts. We manage all authentication flows, and our mission ensures users access their data securely through passwords, PIN codes, or SSO. We build everything on a zero knowledge architecture, and we also protect users from attacks such as phishing. Our team ships new technology often: for example we recently added hardware security key support. As a backend engineer, you will work with frontend and security experts. As a backend engineer you will collaborate closely with frontend engineers developing our web extension, other backend engineers and security engineers to deliver new features to our users while complying with our security commitments.

Location‑Specific Information

You will be based in Paris, with English as your working language. Programming languages:

Frontend / internal tooling: React, Typescript

Infrastructure and storage layer: AWS EC2, AWS Nitro (confidential computing), Amazon ECS, MySQL on RDS, Redis, S3

CI/CD: Gitlab, Sonarqube, Terraform

Logging and monitoring: ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)

In your role, you will

Innovate! As an engineering member, you’ll work closely with the teams to discover creative solutions that drive the company’s expansion.

Participate to the product and technical design discussions to define the best solutions.

Implement backend projects from end to end: write clean code, easy to maintain and understand, implement test and manage deployment.

Manage quality of our application: monitor cloud applications, KTLO.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in software development.

3+ years of experience in developing backend applications.

Experience in Node.js and Typescript.

Experience in working with infrastructure on AWS.

Experience working in a product development team with agile practices.

Know how to code, but also to deploy, test, and monitor cloud applications.

Interested by quality and security of applications.

Fluent in English (as the team is international).
