Back End Developer

Location: Strasbourg, France (Hybrid)

Contract: 12 Months Rolling Contract

Location & Eligibility (strict)

• Must be based in Strasbourg, or willing to relocate before starting
• Remote working is only possible from Strasbourg (no remote from other cities/countries)
• Open to EU nationals only

Budget : €400 per day, all inclusive

We are looking for a senior backend developer to join a strategic project building modern, event-driven microservices and distributed systems.

Mandatory

• 10+ years of professional software development experience
• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field
• Deep hands-on expertise with Spring Framework & Spring Boot , specifically in distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of Kafka (or IBM Event Streams ) and PostgreSQL
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in CI/CD and version control : Git, GitHub, GitHub CI/CD
• Understanding of DevSecOps and software development best practices
• Proven ability to perform deep technical analysis and produce clear documentation for complex systems
• Experience with large-scale web applications and the seniority to guide architectural decisions
• Istio and SonarQube are expected; however, truly outstanding candidates with strong solid experience may be considered without them
