Back-End Developer

We started in 2015 with a straightforward idea: sleep diagnosis should happen in the comfort of your own home, not in a hospital. To make that possible, we created a first-of-its-kind chin sensor, carefully validated through clinical research, reviewed by leading sleep experts, and cleared by the FDA.

Back-end Developer

As a Back-end Developer, you will play a key role in scaling our digital sleep clinic. You will be responsible for building and improving back-end systems that are robust, secure, and compliant with healthcare standards. Working closely with product managers, designers, and other developers, you will help us deliver high-quality healthcare solutions that have a real impact on patients’ and providers’ lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Work closely with the team to design, build, and maintain reliable backend services using Python, Django, and related technologies.
• API Development: Create and evolve RESTful APIs to power our front-end and mobile applications and support integrations with third-party partners.
• Performance & Optimization: Monitor, identify, and resolve bottlenecks to ensure fast, efficient, and scalable applications that deliver a smooth user experience.
• Architecture & Design: Contribute to the technical architecture of our platform, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and robustness as the product evolves.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce best practices to guarantee the security and integrity of sensitive health data, in line with healthcare regulations.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• +5 years of professional experience as a Back-end Developer
• +2 years of hands-on experience in Python
• Experience with Django, including Django REST framework
• Experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Languages: French and English

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform

• Previous startup experience
• Experience with HIPAA compliance and health care systems
