We are looking for a DevOps engineer to work on customer projects. The role requires DevOps engineering experience and combines aspects of both technical and IT operations.

The requirements include working with customers throughout the entire cloud lifecycle, providing comprehensive support to transform and evolve their application portfolios via native cloud development. Support customers using modern software development methods with validated DevOps and DevSecOps practices to build the right environment to rapidly launch new services.

Your responsibilities will include coding, project management, planning, and the following tasks:

• Analyze current technology used within a customer contract, project, and solution; develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.
• Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.
• Understand stakeholders’ needs and convey this to developers.
• Automate and improve development and release processes.
• Test and examine code written by others and analyze results.
• Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes.
• Work with software developers and engineers to ensure development follows established processes.
• Establish milestones for departmental contributions and develop processes to facilitate collaboration.
• Collaborate with engineering professionals to maintain cloud infrastructure and platform services needed for projects.
• Mentor and train other engineers and continually improve processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps engineering for large enterprises or public sector.
• Excellent teamworking and communication skills.
• Knowledge of programming languages.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a good attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Clear understanding of DevOps and Agile principles.
• Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.
• Experience using solutions and services on AWS or Microsoft Azure Cloud platforms.
• Experience in containerised environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with software engineering and customer experience.
• Experience working together with teams from several departments.
• Demonstrated project development and leadership skills.
• UK Security Clearance (SC) required.
• Azure DevOps (ADO), ARM Templates/BiCep, CI/CD pipelines, YAML, Git/GitHub.
• Terraform/Terragrunt, Ansible, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitHub.

Education & Experience

• At least 3+ years in engineering, architecture, or operational role delivering cloud services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field.
