AZ Driver-Tractor / Trailer - DOT (Paris)
Overview
AZ Driver‑Tractor / Trailer - DOT (full time). Location: Paris, ON, Canada. The role involves delivery of high‑pressure cylinders and liquid containers to customer locations.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload cylinders, count and record quantities and types to match shipping documents.
- Check and placard the vehicle following Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations to maintain safety and compliance.
- Follow all operating and safety procedures while performing tasks to protect yourself and others.
- Complete shipping orders and related paperwork to keep records organized.
- Handle trip reports, fuel tickets and other required reports to track work accurately.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip, noting defects or issues and reporting them to a supervisor.
- Report repair or maintenance needs and ensure they are addressed with minimal operational disruption.
Qualifications
- At least two (2) years of AZ driving experience; DOT driving experience is a bonus.
- Valid, incident‑free provincial driver’s license with an air brake endorsement.
- Ability to manipulate different cylinder sizes and weights; comfortable lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of compressed gases and safe handling practices.
- Strong mechanical aptitude to work with equipment.
- Training in Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System is an asset.
Compensation
Hourly wage of $37.83 and $0.071 per mile.
