AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid‑market accounts to enterprise‑level customers including public sector.

Within SMGS, AWS Marketplace Specialists are responsible for driving the adoption of AWSMP with buyers, providing a 360‑degree customer feedback loop inclusive of MP Engineering, and accelerating customer adoption of specific offerings through the AWS field and partners while providing direct feedback to Service engineering.

AWS Marketplace Specialists work with the AWS teams to increase AWS Marketplace adoption at AWS customers across France & South Region and as the owner of this business, they collaborate closely with the AGS AM's in France & South Region.

On a daily basis, they help customers move to the next model for software procurement and deployment as they migrate to the cloud, engaging directly with Procurement Managers to drive and support adoption of the AWS Marketplace.

They should be self‑motivated, customer‑centric, very delivery‑focused, with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and long‑term about the needs of customers.

AWS Marketplace ( is an online store where customers can find, buy, and immediately start using software in a utility model that runs on the AWS Cloud.

The job is to bring Amazon's e‑commerce expertise to cloud software and fundamentally change how software is discovered and consumed in the cloud. They have a long list of new ideas waiting to be designed and implemented.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop a short term and long term strategic AWS Marketplace plan.
  • Work with existing AWS business development and field organizations to engage with customers and partners to execute joint go‑to‑market programs, owning day‑to‑day interactions with existing customers and greenfield accounts to identify needs met through AWS Marketplace.
  • Serve as a key member of the France, South and EMEA Marketplace Specialist team in helping to define and deliver the Marketplace strategy for customers in a direct or indirect delivery model.
  • Understand the technical requirements of customers and partners, and work closely with the internal development team to guide the direction of product offerings.
  • Educate and enable the sales teams, increasing visibility of AWS Marketplace products across all relevant AWS teams.
  • Manage complex contract negotiations as needed and serve as a partner liaison to the legal group.

A day in the life

Define and execute the strategy across customers in France & South Region.

Work with the AWS organization to set the AWS Marketplace strategy, enabling account managers and partner managers, and engaging directly with customers, independent software vendors (ISV) and software resellers to support successful software transactions through the AWS Marketplace.

Basic Qualifications

  • Partner/Software Sales experience working across the software ecosystem, channel and technology companies in France.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English & French are essential.
  • Significant business development and program management experience.
  • Comfortable holding technical discussions associated with best practice cloud‑based solutions.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud computing technology and a utility pricing model.
  • Partner/Software Sales experience working across the software ecosystem, channel and technology companies in Israel. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English & French are essential. Significant business development and program management experience. Comfortable holding technical discussions associated with best practice cloud‑based solutions. Solid understanding of Cloud computing technology and a utility pricing model.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with varying software licensing models.
  • MBA or Graduate degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience working in the tech ecosystem.
