With over 200 employees, the business is advancing its 19-seat hybrid regional aircraft programme, alongside other next-generation aircraft projects, helping shape the future of sustainable aviation.
As development continues to accelerate, they are seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer to support the integration and development of avionics systems across their ERA regional aircraft programme.
The Role
Working within the Aircraft Systems team, you will take responsibility for the integration of multiple avionics systems and the development of associated Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).
This is a highly cross-functional role involving aircraft systems integration, supplier management, safety analysis, certification and production and flight test support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the definition of operational concepts and associated HMIs
- Manage technical relationships with avionics partners and suppliers
- Support the detailed definition of aircraft displays and alerting functions
- Develop system integration and test procedures
- Identify electrical and mechanical installation constraints at aircraft level
- Develop technical specifications covering:
- Support Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA) and System Safety Assessments (SSA)
- Contribute to aircraft certification documentation
- Support production, ground testing and flight test programmes
About You
- Degree qualified in Aerospace Engineering or a similar discipline
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering and avionics development
- Strong experience across functional analysis, safety analysis, reliability and V&V
- Experience developing and integrating aircraft avionics systems
- Strong knowledge of ATA 23, ATA 31 and ATA 34
- Good understanding of ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-254, DO-178 and DO-160
- Experience working within multidisciplinary and international engineering teams
- Strong technical and project management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Human Factors and cockpit HMI design
- Aircraft production and integration
- Ground and flight testing
- Aircraft certification and compliance
