Avionics Computer Safety Architect (m/f)

Location: Toulouse, France.

About the Team

In the Avionics & Simulation Domain, the “Chamber of Reference” is developing new computers based on the Avionics product line while maintaining legacy products. The role joins the Avionics Products Development team, led by Raphaël Migliasso, Head of Avionics Product Architecture and Safety, within a team of 15.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new Avionic computers, usually based on the Avionics product line.
  • Develop new standards for Legacy Avionic computers.
  • Follow up on Legacy Avionic computers.
  • Assess safety and reliability characteristics of the computer with specialists and experts across competencies (hardware, software, quality).
  • Contribute to the definition of the safest computer architecture with product, hardware, and software architects.
  • Follow product maturity with a safety focus through V&V anomaly analysis, prioritise corrections, and industrialise follow‑up.
  • Secure safety analysis and demonstration for certification.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Equipment/System level development with hardware & software development.
  • Good knowledge of safety & reliability methodologies and approaches.
  • Good knowledge of aeronautical regulations (ARP4754, DO178, DO254, DO160).
  • Good analysis/synthesis skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Negotiation level in French and English required.
