AV and IT Systems Manager

The AV & IT Systems Manager is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and technical oversight of all audiovisual and IT infrastructure. This role supports both guest-facing technology and internal business systems, ensuring that immersive exhibits, media installations, and operational platforms function reliably and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
You will lead a team of internal and vendor-based technology professionals while managing complex audiovisual environments, including real-time generative media systems, show-controlled lighting and audio installations, and large-scale digital displays.
IT Infrastructure & Systems Management
Manage all IT infrastructure including networks, servers, end-user technologies, and cloud environments. Maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, telecom systems, and secure connectivity protocols. Oversee on-premise, virtual, and cloud-based systems while leading cybersecurity initiatives. Ensure all technology issues are prioritized and resolved efficiently.
Audiovisual Systems & Immersive Technology
Oversee advanced audiovisual installations including immersive theaters, media walls with real-time user-generated content, and interactive lighting/audio exhibits. Manage projectors, video walls, processors, DSPs, amplifiers, and control systems.
Maintenance, Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Develop preventative maintenance plans, proactively monitor systems, provide troubleshooting support, escalate when needed, and track incidents through resolution.
Operational Systems Support
Support ticketing, admissions, POS systems, and visitor management platforms. Ensure uptime and performance through coordination with vendors and internal teams.
Event & Special Program Support
Partner with marketing and sales teams to support events and activations. Conduct technical assessments, prepare AV systems, and oversee third-party vendors to ensure successful execution.
Lead internal and external teams, foster a solutions-driven environment, and collaborate across departments, integrators, and technology partners.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Audiovisual Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years managing IT infrastructure and AV systems in complex environments (entertainment, hospitality, or large venues).
- Proven leadership of technical teams.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong experience with networked AV systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and preventative maintenance strategies.
- Knowledge of event production technology and live AV workflows.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple initiatives.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Curiosity for emerging immersive and digital technologies.
Fluency in English and French required.
- Experience with Microsoft Server, Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and macOS.
- AVIXA certifications (CTS / CTS-I).
- Experience with VLANs, managed switches, and converged networks.
- Cisco knowledge (CCENT / CCNA).
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine, TouchDesigner, or similar media systems.
- Experience with digital signage and multimedia content management.
